I’ve been taking my dog here for the past 2 years. I can’t say enough great things about this place. The owner, Margarita is the sweetest and is so passionate about what she does. She genuinely cares for your dog as if it’s her own.
It was a great experience for me and my kiddos, they look amazing and were so calm after picking them up, compared to previous experiences where they come home all stressed and anxious after grooming.
Margarita noticed that my Sofy was afraid of the clippers and decided to cut Sofy’s hair with only scissors to make my Sofy comfortable during her grooming.
Margarita is hands down the best groomer around! She has been taking care of my pup Chester since he was a little baby, and I have followed her to all the salons she’s worked at. Literally, all of them.
Hands down the best groomer for doodles. She really gets doodle coats and my dog always comes back fluffy, clean, and happy—not shaved or overdone.
Coco is a shy dog but since day one he did very well, mostly because Margarita was very attentive to my needs and asked questions to accommodate to coco and give him a positive experience.
Professional, caring, and simply amazing in her craft. I take my two large (1 being very hyper) dogs that shed A LOT and they’re returned super clean, fully dried, and fresh. Most importantly, they never come back distressed.
Just moved to East Rutherford. Booking was easy and we felt right at home at Prideful Grooming. Love the text updates and price was reasonable!
I’ve brought my long-haired cat in twice so far and both times he had issues like mats or things stuck to his fur. He was very uncomfortable and not quite himself when I brought him in, and he was clean, happy, and so relaxed…
Our cockapoo is usually pretty shy, but Margarita was so gentle and patient with her and made sure to make Stella feel at ease. It’s clear Margarita truly cares about the dogs she grooms and makes sure they feel safe and well taken care of.
I’ve gone to 6 different groomers trying to find one I felt comfortable with, my dog felt comfortable with and of course did a good job with her haircut. I hadn’t found one that checked all my boxes until I went to Margarita.
My Harley is a nervous dog. His anxiety gets the best of him at the groomer. They treated him like part of their family. They didn’t have to muzzle him and did a fantastic job.
I have been following Margarita for a few years now. My dog Bailey was always so picky and refused to let anyone touch her hair or even bath her until we found Margarita. She has a great passion for dogs and always seems to be able to keep them calm.
I love everything from how easy it is to make appointments online to how fresh, clean, and happy my baby comes back to me every time. Margarita is so professional and welcome us with a smile every time.
I brought my kitten of 9 months to Margarita for a bath and trim and nail clipping this was her 1st time… Suzy my kitten looked beautiful so clean and fluffy. Suzy is a maincoon so she has long hair.
Well, we have found our new favorite groomer! … The most important thing is that he was happy and relaxed when we picked him up. He wasn’t nervous or stressed at all. THAT, to me, is the best review of all!
Good to know
Our East Rutherford salon is at 169 Hackensack St, East Rutherford.
Yes. You will need to provide a copy of your pet’s rabies and distemper vaccinations, along with your veterinarian’s name and phone number. This is protection for your pet.
We prioritize the safety and well-being of every pet in our care, and we welcome dogs for grooming up to the age of 15. Older dogs can have special needs and sensitivities that require more careful attention than a grooming environment can typically provide. If your dog is older and needs grooming, we recommend talking with your veterinarian about specialized care options.
Yes. All pets must be treated with flea and tick medication before their appointment, for the health and safety of every animal in our care. To avoid cancellations, please make sure your pet is free of fleas and ticks before the visit. If you have questions about flea and tick treatments or need recommendations, contact us.
On average, dogs should be groomed every four to six weeks and cats every six to eight weeks. It depends on how often you can brush at home, your pet’s breed and coat, and how much time they spend outside. You may want a tighter schedule to keep cuts crisp — booking a recurring appointment is the easiest way to keep your spot.
